- A great place to get a hearty meal and a reasonable price in the UK
A haven for great food at a great value, the Harvester restaurant is a place that we often eat when staying in Dunfermline (we often stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Dunfermline which is right nearby and convenient to Edinburgh).
My husband is a big eater, and given that the conversion from the dollar to the pound is not generally in our favor, this restaurant has become a haven to us where we can get a filling meal at a reasonable price.

The entrees are generously portioned with good accompanying sides. The price also includes unlimited access to a nice salad bar that has lettuce salad fixings as well as a variety of fruits and other types of salad such as potato salad and pasta salad.
They have a reasonable selection of spirits, beer and hard cider at good prices, and this is often the first place upon arrival that I am able to quench my cider cravings.
This is a family oriented restaurant and would be a great place to bring kids. It has been a great place for us to come back to in the evenings after a day of sight seeing in Edinburgh to kick back and relax and enjoy a nice meal and a pint.
As a closing note, the Harvester Restaurant is a chain that has locations all over the United Kingdom, so look for one next time you need a satisfying, filling meal at a great price!
