This beautiful view was the reward for a particularly grueling hike in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The range of different shades created by the haze in the distance was spectacular. Great hiking opportunities abound here for abound for both casual and experienced hikers alike. As we drove into the mountains,the unrelenting heat that we had been experiencing in the rest of Tennessee eased, making the climate here quite pleasant. Make your way straight through the tourist trap that is Gatlinburg, TN without stopping. Soon, you will find yourself in the quiet isolation of this amazing place!
