Travel is always good for kids. I feel strongly that travel is most beneficial when kids are young because young children are still forming the connections in their brains.
Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you shouldn’t travel with young kids because they won’t remember it. The experience of travel goes so much deeper than a fleeting, short term memory. It influences the ways that their brains are being wired and connected. New experiences during the first few years of a child’s life shape their brains forever.
I LOVE to talk travel and encourage anyone who will listen that they need to take as many trips with their kids as they can. I have decided that it is time to lead by example and put actions behind my words. I am going to break out my list of family vacation ideas with toddlers and start putting them on my calendar!
