It is going to be an incredible summer for me and for There and Back Again Travel Blog! I have been home for a record 4 months in a row, and I am going stir crazy and I am ready to fly!
Provence France and Porto Portugal: I love France, and I try to justify a trip here at least once a year. I deserve this. I have been working my buns off.
I have this vision of myself in Provence, France riding a bicycle past fields of lavender and stopping in an idyllic setting for a picnic of wine, bread and cheese. The bicycle is rented and I have baguettes on my mind. Tune in to see how close (or far) my dreams and my reality end up being!
Also on tap for France are a trip to the Millau Viaduct and a visit to Carcassonne France on Bastille Day!

Amsterdam and Norway: The plan goes like this. red light district in Amsterdam on my birthday, then departure the next day on the Holland America ship Ryndam for seven glorious days exploring the beauty of Norway! Maybe we will even fit in a quick, surprise, mystery stop on the way home….tune in to find out where we end up!
Harrisonburg, Virgina: I will be going back to Harrisonburg, Virginia in September for a massage training workshop (for anyone who does’t know, in one of my other lives, I am also a massage therapist!)
Hopefully, I will be able to make some quick posts to share with you the beautiful scenery in the Shenandoah Valley and the friendly people who live in Harrisonburg. Tempting…I might just need to try to find time to hit the farmers market in Harrisonburg for one more of those incredible cinnamon rolls!
Speyside, Scotland: After all that travel, I think I am going to need a drink. A trip to Scotland? A little whisky? Sounds like a perfect end of summer escape!
The Speyside region is a part of Scotland that we have not yet visited and the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival seemed like a great excuse to fix that situation.
I am sure that Autumn in the highlands will be a great time to visit. The whiskey festival features the best of Scotland, including food, whisky, music and dance.
A perfect way to wrap up a busy season of travel.
Where are you heading on your summer vacation?
