Path in Toyko, Japan

This photo was taken while exploring a temple in Tokyo.  It was nestled among a group of tall office buildings.  This is one of the aspects of Tokyo that I found so fascinating…that you could be walking in the middle of an urban jungle and suddenly find yourself in the midst of the quiet, peaceful oasis of a temple.

We saw many Japanese people stopping at the temple for a few moments of quiet contemplation on the way home from work.  The temple in Tokyo is not just a place that people go to on special occasions; it really seemed like a visit to the temple was just a normal part of their daily routine.

I really enjoy your travel tips and experience. Do you remember the name of this temple? or where is it about? in Tokyo?

    Thanks much.
