The very first post in this series if from Ayngelina from the travel blog Bacon is Magic!  Her video takes you inside the New Market in Helsinki Finland just like you were right there with her.  When we visited this market, I remember the strong smells of fresh fish and the pungent aromas of local cheeses.  I got adventurous and tried a small, fried minnow (guts, bones and all).  Enjoy!

Ayngelina writes the culinary travel blog Bacon is Magic. Four years ago she left a career in advertising, long-term boyfriend, apartment and friends to find inspiration in Latin America. Now she shares the people and places behind the meals she enjoys around the world. Find her on YouTubeFacebook and Instagram.

Have you been to a great local market? Would you like to share your experience?

I am accepting guest post submissions for my “Markets of the World” feature.  I am looking for 3-5 photos of your favorite local market along with a short descriptive narrative detailing the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of said market.  Please include a short bio with links to your social media profiles.

Please e-mail submissions to Shanna@thereandbackagaintravel.com

Loved this market! Another excellent food market in Finland is in Oulu.
